About Me

Welcome to Christina McKeown, State Farm! We are your local State Farm Insurance office for Middletown, and the surrounding DE areas. I’m a lifelong resident of Delaware and my family and I live in Smyrna. I attended the University of Delaware before beginning my career with State Farm. I took a position with my hometown agent and quickly found that this was my passion. Loving what you do is key to a happy life! Outside of work I love to read, travel, and I’m a huge movie buff. Being involved in New Castle County is important to me; I’m a member of the Middletown Chamber of Commerce and love being a part of such an amazing community. I love the diversity of Middletown – the people who have lived here their whole lives and the people who have moved to the area is a great mix of personality and culture.

I have been with State Farm for over 20 years and I’m licensed in Delaware and Maryland. My experience working in an office prior to my own really taught me how to provide great coverage to our customers, ranging from car insurance, home insurance, renter’s insurance, rv insurance, personal articles insurance, life insurance, business insurance, financial services and so much more! When the opportunity to open my own office in January 2019 presented itself, I was so excited to apply my experience and get started! My amazing team and I help people personalize insurance plans that properly protect their treasured assets as well as ensure they are taking advantage of all the discounts available to them. With over 50 years of combined insurance experience, we pride ourselves on our customer service and love welcoming new and existing customers into our State Farm family.

I grew up outside of Smyrna, DE which is about 15 miles south of Middletown and I still call it home today. Having lived in this area my entire life, it is nice to be familiar with the people in the community. I am the proud mother of a grown daughter who is an Elementary Teacher in the area and a son-in-law who also works in a local school district. Outside of the office, I enjoy working on various crafts, gardening, and spending time with family. I started in the insurance industry working at an independent agent’s office and became a Delaware licensed agent shortly after. I started at State Farm in October of 2011 and it’s been quite the journey since. At Christina McKeown State Farm, I am the Team Leader of our office. I focus in business insurance but I’m able to assist our new and current customers with their auto insurance, home insurance, life insurance, and health insurance needs, as well as State Farm financial products.
